At a glance, the successful candidate will have the ability and interest in:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate financial records and daily transaction activity
- Reconcile entries into the accounting system
- Assist engagement teams with accounting functions, such as recording bank deposit, bank reconciliations, check batches, payroll, and part of month-end close processes
- Prepare and assist with annual filings such as Form 1099s
- Follow established firm and client workflows to ensure timely completion of recurring accounting tasks and month-end deliverables.
Preferred qualifications:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting (best practices, knowledge of U.S. GAAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), with aptitude to learn new software and systems
- Strong data accuracy and entry skills when processing financial information
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with high production of accurate work
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to always maintain professionalism
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet recurring deadlines
- Associates degree and/or at least one year of accounting experience
