At a glance, the successful candidate will have the ability and interest in:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Maintain accurate financial records and daily transaction activity
  • Reconcile entries into the accounting system
  • Assist engagement teams with accounting functions, such as recording bank deposit, bank reconciliations, check batches, payroll, and part of month-end close processes
  • Prepare and assist with annual filings such as Form 1099s
  • Follow established firm and client workflows to ensure timely completion of recurring accounting tasks and month-end deliverables.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting (best practices, knowledge of U.S. GAAP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), with aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Strong data accuracy and entry skills when processing financial information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with high production of accurate work
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to always maintain professionalism
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet recurring deadlines
  • Associates degree and/or at least one year of accounting experience
