Melissa Botschen

Senior Staff Accountant

Melissa Botschen, Senior Staff Accountant, joined McDonald Jacob’s Business Advisory Services department in 2018. She brings over a decade of experience in the field of accounting. As a member of the Business Advisory Services team, Melissa works with our clients on their financial statements and reconciliations, and provides support as they undergo audits.

Professional

Melissa values McDonald Jacobs’ long history, and she wants to work somewhere she can stay for a long time and develop long-lasting relationships with clients. Prior to joining McDonald Jacobs, she worked as an Accounting Manager for an international company that manufactures and distributes its own food. She was involved with all financials, audits, payroll, inventory, customs, DOT and, of course, preparing taxes. She has also managed group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities, and assisted with financial planning and other oversight roles.

Melissa is originally from New Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. When not pursuing her Accounting degree from Ashworth College, she loves to spend time with her grandchildren and crochet them elaborate presents.
