Established in 1972, McDonald Jacobs is an accounting and consulting resource for nonprofits, businesses & individuals. Founded by Jim McDonald and John Ames 50 years ago in the Jackson Tower in Portland, Oregon, the firm has since moved office locations twice, but remains located in the heart of Downtown Portland overlooking Pioneer Courthouse Square.
Since its inception, McDonald Jacobs has believed in giving back with a commitment to truly making the community a better place. On a personal level, every individual in our firm serves, either as a board member or volunteer, for the benefit of nonprofit organizations. In addition, each year the firm offers officewide opportunities to volunteer in community service for a variety of nonprofit organizations.
Diversity, equity and inclusion have been core values of the firm for many years and is at the center of who they are and how they work. The leadership team at McDonald Jacobs consists of six owners and two principals, three are women. Of their eight managers, five are female. Approximately 57% of the employees are female.
